Another example of Amazon turning on bots and destroying listings for no reason. Multiple listings flagged for Button Cell Battery compliance when they have no electronic components and contain no batteries but appeals are rejected asking for ISO 17025 lab reports.
Send them a document with a large-print header saying “ISO 17025 Lab Report”, with a single line of text saying “product contains no batteries”.
But first, do an product partial update upload with a spreadsheet, and make sure that every "battery"field is null, or blank, or “no”. Database contents change without your knowledge at Amazon, so you need a local backup to be able to overwrite whatever vandalism has been done by poorly-written bots and incompetent employees.
THIS! All Day This!
Would this even work? What about brand locked detail pages that are controlled by Vendor Central/Amazon?
Some flat file uploads are unaffected by brand locked or even Amazon retail locked, so it is worth a try
Been there, done that. The bot response said my product has qualities of a product that has BC batteries.
Thank you for this.
And thank you for your endorsement.
@Tandi @primetime did it work?
I did not test it today. FBA prep is taking precedence over recovering that listing for a seasonal item, this is the off season for it.
Mine all still flagged for “LR44” after the flat file upload.
May I ask if there’s been any progress in Amazon pulling its poorly-parameterized Amabots’ wee li’l noggins out of their keesters?
Unfortunately no, even after the uploads they reject the appeals. It’s sad that if they would just look at the products they could clearly see they do not contain or use batteries at all. More items for ebay/walmart.
