Cyber Attack on eBay

From a Facebook eBay sellers group.
There was definitely issues with the site yesterday.

eBay must be flattered to be considered a critical platform. This is the most relevant they’ve been in a while.

I’m not thrilled when DDOS attacks are labeled cyberattack. It’s the same level of severity as someone at eBay tripping over a router cable: transient, and non-damaging. Not everything requires flame emojis.

There have been lingering effects on various parts of the Ebay site, some of which have only been cleared during the past hour.

Not sure what if any effects hurt my auctions last night and today,

Ebay has announced that it will allow sellers to cancel auction sales after 12 PM yesterday (Sunday) with out penalty and protect against negative FB. Perhaps they will. But a sale I made last night was to a repeat buyer I would prefer not to alienate.

Sale this morning with a lot of heavy sniping, which had gone quiet since some time yesterday, it went for enough that I will probably not cancel it.

Listing management is still having issues however orders seem to be coming thru for me.

Some relief but still recovering:

Meh we haven’t been able to get in from our desktop literally all day. Still going on now, too. Our sales are very low last night and today compared to how they always are…this is obviously why.

Selling side of ebay appears to be fine, Buyer side is slow and throws some strange errors

ETA: yeah checkout seems to be failing out

ETA2: Search results are also random and only kinda related to the search submitted
