YES! I started doing it by parent after creating the dummy listing (so like 10 at a time)…and then got brave…and did the rest of the catalog.
Probably caused the children to be assigned the wrong parent that way…
The troubleshooting of HOW to remove a child from a parent because SUPPOSEDLY there are several ways… ugh…took time. Do it one way and wait overnight only to see that it didn’t work.
The other thing I found frustrating was that the yellow box that indicated an error in the product ID Feed column had a popup screen to explain the error and I had to leave that up…WRITE it down…and then figure it out. There was no “leaving it visible” that I could figure not even to get a screenshot to ask for a translation. The summary sheet didn’t always tell me what column I needed to focus on OR the spreadsheet didn’t highlight the cell in the column. My only clue was in the disappearing pop up. Soon, (beyond brand) I realized it was in specific columns that I usually had the error…So I wrote that down and that made it easier. Like wrong style… by the time I scroll over to column BW I forgot what they said HAD to be in there. Antique, Vintage, Victorian, Traditional, Classic? I don’t care…but if it didn’t match, then it was a no-go. And what’s the darn difference between “Polyester” and “Polyester & Polyester Blend”???
