DIY 1099 on eBay

I’m finally getting around to my 2023 taxes.

Amazon issues a 1099. My tax spreadsheet is set up to take the data therein, populate other cells, and the final numbers pop up in the appropriate cells, with line numbers that match the line numbers on a schedule C.
I could do it in my sleep.

But I missed the 20K cutoff for eBay last year. They haven’t issued a 1099.
So, does anyone know an easy way to find the 1099 data on eBay?
I don’t even need all of the fields, just a few: primarily Unadjusted Gross Sales, Sales Tax Collected, and Shipping Credits.
The location of any ofther deductable items would also be appreciated.

PS: If anyone answers ‘ask your accountant’, I will send my cat over to pee on your carpets. I am trying to asemble the data to give to my acccountant.

You should be able to go here:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/sales

And just do a prior year report, that should give you income numbers

Hopefully what @Pepper_Thine_Angus sent here is helpful.

Just here to thank you for a much needed laugh.

Good Luck

Thanks, I’ve been there. That is some information.

But is it the right information? IOW, do any of those fields directly correspond to fields on a 1099?
Or other ways of asking the same question: could you make your own 1099 from the information on that page? Where is the number that would go into the box labeled ‘Unadjusted Gross Sales’ on a 1099?

That would be your total sales, before costs and fees are subtracted. That should be on that page

My hound was obedience school perfect sitting next to me when you posted this (waiting for his chance to “pre-rinse” my chili bowl) and said “Ohhh, is friend coming over???”

gee, thanks. you just made my day (not). We use ebay to sell off short dated or warehouse damaged packaging. Not many sales at all. I hadn’t looked at numbers as a % for just ebay. It’s horrible. We paid over 52% in “selling costs”. Now I’ve got to look at things and see if it’s actually worth it to even list stuff on ebay. We’re not talking high value items, so we can only go so low before we’re paying people to “buy” our stuff.

I suspect a local food rescue will be getting donations from us. That sounds like so much less work.

Sigh. Porthos’ days as an enforcer seem to have ended before they even began. “Why should I go someplace else to pee on carpets when I can do it here?”

@RiverRetail Some of your fellow sellers are close to starvation because they have been trying to sell on Amazon. Where are you and what kind of food is it?
