There’s been a recent uptick in discussions in various venues, re: Desktop/Mobile Devices being confused by Amazon in various GUIs; perhaps that can be best-explained by something SusanH posted a few hours ago over in the NSFE?
Google Play Store says this app was updated Sept. 17, 2024, to Version 9.0.1, which is the version I have. I haven’t noticed any problems or changes, but I certainly don’t use all the features. I mostly use it to look at sales figures and sometimes when I’m out scouting I look up items or see if they’re restricted.
I ONLY use the app to “glance” at the details of an order just before I do a CNC carving to make sure I don’t mess it up.
I’ve never tried to do anything else in it. I use my desktop computer (I’m a GenXer) to do work.
I LOATHE the trend to everything being FOR mobile and desktop being a “blown up view”… one of the reasons I HATE the Amazon GUI.
I agree with you. I find it very difficult to do any real work on my phone, and we primarily use our desktops (I’m a Gen Xer and my husband is a Baby Boomer). But when I’m “in the field” looking for books to sell, the seller app and regular Amazon shopping app are of some use. I do realize we are in the minority; lots of people do everything on their phones. Not me. Those screens and the size of the type seem to shrink every year
