Just had a return. An item that has been RFS always. When I get the return back I go to fill out a Safe-T-Claim because they returned garbage essentially.
When I went to manage returns I saw that instead of RFS it was Standard Refund.
So went through the process, but could it be Amazon is learning some buyers (this one happens to be in a college dorm) are scamming the system Too often?
I’ve wondered if they disable it for some sellers. For a while there, I was submitting SAFE-T claims for most of my RFS returns (I sell clothing so restocking fees are common), and then, like a switch was flipped, my returns went back to being standard refund. I still get a RFS one here and there but not often. I’m super happy with it because it makes processing returns a lot easier for me.
Just had an RFS for an order that was delivered 85 days ago. The return was auto closed by amazon and the customer seems to have just gotten around to returning it.
When I return Amazon or FBA product, I only get RFS if I have allowed Amazon to issue an Amazon credit. If I want a refund to my payment method, it is a standard refund.
Sorry if this does not support the applying discipline to buyers theory.
My only recent experience with RFS has been as a buyer on orders. I have only seem RFS when I agree to take the refund on a gift card balance. If I want my refund on the payment method, I need to wait.
