Does anyone have a list of brands that we know cause problems on Amazon?

I tried to find some but I struck out and it’s late and I’m tired.

What I have so far and it’s just a start –

NIKE

ADIDAS

DISNEY

and, according to at least some reports, (the always reliable ASGTG latest post /S)

Too Faced

Clinique

and, Smashbox

have been added to the list and will be gated in the next few days/weeks.

what’s going to become of all those people who pay for courses teaching them RA and suggest they start sneakers, et al, including these brands? Wonder if their Marshall’s receipt will ungate them (from what I’m reading, it tells them YES)

Wonder if they’ll get their money back (kidding…) for the course that is.

Sadly, from a LOT of the posts, Amazon is so dysfunctional and siloed that it actually DOES work a lot of times. At least initially, and then a different, more knowledgeable silo (BOT) steps in with a smack of reality and a suspension.

I continue to believe that Amazon is not interested in stopping it by requiring a simple test to get registered in the first place. They make millions of dollars at $40/month by allowing these people to start selling AND Millions more when they sell off the confiscated items.

They make Bernie Madoff look like an amateur.

True.

If it is OK with you, I am thinking about trying to compile a list as ammunition to use on the Forum while I troll all the suspended accounts.

I am more than happy to attribute this list to your efforts if I go that route.

Any problems from your end if I do so?

Sure, it’s just a list

It was only a matter of time before Amazon had to square off with the reality of both RA and retail theft which is a massive gaping hole of liability in their business model and IP stance.

Waiting for the folks who pay for these “let’s become a millionaire on Amazon” programs to tell you you’re wrong and talk about First Sale Doctrine. Watch some of these groups on Facebook it’s petrifying. I have a far better understanding of the what’s and whys that are happening now when I read those lists. Anyone who has paid money to any of those “gurus” should ask for and get a refund.
After they get deactivated they then refer them to their “lawyer”. It’s ALMOST funny.

Just a quick note –

I used the list a few days ago but I had to “adjust” Wild Willies slightly.

Apparently Amazon considers ‘willies’ to be inappropriate language.

Without any experience to prove it I would expect any products from LMVH to be a problem.

I would expect any designer perfumes to be a problem.

I have had SIPVs on Electrolux

You can add CeraVe items.
Amazon has just kicked everyone off and they are the only seller.
There are a few listings with some FBA sellers but once they are out of stock they won;t be able to resend or relist.
For us that’s about 90 sku’s - Ouch.

Yes, indeed.

There’s a reason why Amazon created this Browse Bin, and gates it tightly:

A seller posted this TWICE on Amazon today and is shocked that nearly everything they sell is now gated. They included a long list of new (to me) names on their first post.

CLAIMS to be a huge seller but has a total of 2 posts on the NSFE so I’m a bit skeptical of the size but some sellers actually ARE oblivious to the changes on Amazon!

Well based on feedback they aren’t small …

Which dwarfs my pathetic numbers! I guess it just proves even the big players on Amazon are oblivious to the changes going on – OR think they are exempt due to their size.

50m I’d have a lawyer solve it, not post on the forum.

But what do I know!

Nearly all their feedback is in the past 12 months, so not exactly a veteran seller.
Sounds like they listed a ton of stuff all at once and are now getting buried by a new bot ban wave.

I noticed that they claimed several times to have been a “top seller for many years.” I am skeptical.

I’m sure the bans are due to Amazon unleashing their BOTS but the underlying reason has been in place for quite some time.

Several of their ASINs were for brands on my (growing) list of forbidden names.

I lost count, but I think there were another two or three sellers that were either suspended or basically put out of business today due to nearly all their brands being gated.

This trend will continue as far as I can see and eventually I’m guessing that EVERY category on Amazon will be gated.

Now if they would only require a simple test to be passed BEFORE anyone could open a seller account they could stop wasting so much time reviewing all the ‘please help with my Section 3’ posts!
