Can anyone link me to the Ebay INR policy? I’m having trouble finding it.
I shipped an ebay order on Wednesday and the tracking shows no movement. The buyer is already asking about it. I don’t deal with this often enough to have the same familiarity with Ebay’s policies as I do with Amazon’s, and I’m not exactly sure what I’m responsible for. I assume that since the tracking shows no movement at all, I am on the hook for a refund or replacement, but either way this is a good opportunity to get more familiar with the policy.
You might win an INR claim with tracking which shows delivered.
Ebay does an adequate job in delaying INR claims - delaying until after the listing’s expected delivery date. You then have three days to respond.
Here is the buyer side info
It is common for buyers who are short shipped or receive damaged shipments to open Not As Described claims - which the buyers always win.
One thing I’ve found that often helps when tracking shows no movement is to sign up for alerts for that item on the USPS website. They can text you when it gets its next scan.
In almost every case that I’ve done this, it miraculously starts moving by the next day, if not the next 2-3 hours. I’ve had only one that remained “stuck”.
We do this on day 5 if there is not movement. On day 7, we file an inquiry with USPS. We see, that about 50% of the time, one of these two will be followed with a movement scan. On day 15, we file “lost mail” insurance claim with USPS. If the package pops up in the system, USPS will deny the claim. If nothing is found, USPS generally pays the claim within 7 days of the filing.
This has been our experience as well. It’s like your inquiry knocks it loose so tracking shows again.

Has anyone had any luck finding the Seller-side policy info?
Based on seller whines, it is not what the old PayPal Seller Protection Policy was.
This link on the seller side makes no mention of any protection if the item is not delivered.
Can you update @HobbesIsMyTiger ?
