Has anyone else noticed that they no longer have Germany as an option for Ebay International Shipping?
It is neither a “Shop To:” or “Excludes” option on my listings. This was happening on a handful of my listings over the past few months, and now it is hitting all of them. I have some nice customers in Germany so we are feeling this.
Ebay says this a platform-wide issue with Germany not being available in the International Shipping Program. Has anyone else noticed this?
My best guess is that The Bay is implementing yet-another throttle for compliance with the ever-evolving VerpackG (link, eBay Help Content) requirements.
Thank you for this. I will attempt to set up the packaging license in the morning after my first round of coffee. I’m a little (but not really) surprised the Ebay customer service rep didn’t mention this.
Germany requires an EPR registration ( Extended Producer Responsibility)
Not sure that it would even be possible for eBay to obtain this.
With ABE, they will pay the eco-fees and recover from the seller for France and Spain, but for Germany the seller must obtain their own registration.
I just completed my Linzero and LUCID registrations, and uploaded my new EPR number. No change yet on my listings, but I imagine it will take some time to update my Germany shipping compliance to my listings.
