email for conv with Amazon "we're changing your order's page - want to weigh in?"

I received an email for an invitation to talk with an Amazon rep about the order’s page that they are changing… Love when they change things, makes my day!

Anyway, top of my mind, these are the two complains that I can think of in a pinch. If you have any suggestions, please write them below and I’ll bring them to the meeting:

  1. Why the f*** ing f*** is the “cancel order” button next to the “print packing slip” button. Not a big deal because you need to confirm the cancellation, but still.
  2. When you buy orders in bulk, and then buy an individual label, if that label is FedEx, it defaults to 8.5x11 instead of the 4x6 size. It gets automatically moved to full size page instead of 4x6. This is minor, but I have had to cancel a ton of labels due to this nonsense.

Call is next week, so there’s time to think about upgrades *that Amazon won’t implement). top of my mind, those are my bigger qualms, but happy to pass along any other idea

Wish List

  1. STOP running ads above the orders on the order page like for Veeqo, etc.
  2. Allow us to set defaults for the filters like for order date, results per page and date range (so we don’t have to reset them every time after a login).
  3. On the Shipped tab, why can’t a Delivered image be added under the Order Status so we can quickly see that an order has been delivered?

No no. Amazon needs to push me more services
I’ll ask for a commercial between purchased labels. Luke a YouTube add between videos

I’m honestly surprised the carriers haven’t started selling ad space on the labels.

Is this an Order Details page for an order or the whole Manage Orders page for all orders?

Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anything for the Manage Orders page, but I would like to see the Signature Confirmation Recommendation on the Individual Orders Details page.

I can only see when an order recommends a signature when viewing the Manage Orders page.

Site note: I use an old program called Shipworks to pull up each order, so I rarely see the Mange Orders page.

I realize this is merely a typo, but I must admit I’ve seen a few of those myself.

Seems there’s a bunch more mangy curs hiding in Buyer’s clothing @ Amazon than elsewhere…

Good question.
I don’t really care though. I’ll give suggestions on everything and anything. Including bringing the old forums back.

Oops.
I also meant “Side note” not Site note.

Looks like it is the Manage Orders page. Not the Order Details page. Thanks.

When buying shipping for an order, I have QZ Tray setup for the label printing, but I hate that I have to select the printer each time. Why can’t it just use what was last selected?

That is more of a Micro$oft issue

WHAT makes them so presumptuous that they are IMPROVING anything ever?

The entire organization is so full of itself/themselves it would send Freud to a shrink.

I do not, it always defaults direct to my label printer

I have Windows 11

Could the browser be involved? I use Firefox

:up_arrow: :up_arrow: this, and:

  1. Allow separate settings for the Seller Fulfilled orders page and the FBA orders page. And keep them until we change them.
Seller Fulfilled - I almost always want ‘Ship by date (ascending)’ sort order because that it what matters most there for shipping.
FBA page - I most often want ‘Order date (descending)’ sort order for a chronological view of the orders as they come in for monitoring.
When I switch between the views I have to reset the sort order to correspond to my purpose.

  2. Label cancellations - once I cancel a label, I’d like the order to return to ‘un-shipped’ status. Now when I cancel a label, the order page closes and the order stays on the shipped orders page. I have to go back through the shipped orders list and find the order again to buy a new label and actually ship it.

These are for the specific order page, in case it comes to that:

  1. If you buy shipping elsewhere and want to confirm a tracking #, you can’t set the ship date to anything other than today. So Sunday orders won’t be set as Monday for instance. I don’t think it matters but is inconsistent with buy shipping options when buying shipping from amz. It’s a bug imo.
2)stop allowing undeliverable addresses. Flat out costing them money as I have to buy cheaper shipping from other sources bc Amz forces me into UPS or FedEx when it allows for clearly incorrectly formatted addresses to be used—usually by drop shippers.

Thank you for all the ideas!
Clearly I’ll hammer hard on the part of filters, that seems to be the most common problem,
The call is next Wednesday, I’ll summarize the ideas into a list (post it in this thread) on Tuesday so that we can give it one last look
Hopefully at least something trickles down to someone who can make life a bit easier, though as @dwat0870 very accurately said:

This explains the dog pages!

When we were involved with the NSFE beta, the suggestions felt like they fell on deaf ears. Amazon had their agenda and that was first. It took the better part of a year later to see a few of the suggestions get implemented and most of those suggestions were just trying to get Amazon to save some of the more helpful functions (like the ability to follow a thread and/or poster).

If you haven’t played with the New Seller Central, we suggest playing with it a bit when you have time so that your familiar with it before it becomes the norm.

is an understatement.

I use Firefox on an iMac

I have not. Is there a thread on SAS about what to expect?
