End of Life???

What does this mean? Amazon doesn’t want me to restock? I’m not having problems with them moving on FBA.

I do not have it checked off as “End of LIfe.”

I’m sure you have seen this (below) already but just in case.

Check the listing to see if somehow it has been marked as “discontinued”. If this is a listing you are selling on and not a listing you created, it’s possible that the brand has marked it as discontinued, either because it’s actually being discontinued OR there’s a material change being made to the product which would require a new listing.

An Amazon product marked as End of Life (EoL) indicates the manufacturer has ceased production, spare parts are no longer available, and support may be discontinued. For consumers, this means limited, if any, technical support or warranty service. For sellers, FBA inventory may be removed due to expiration risks, as items must have adequate shelf life upon arrival.

We are Handmade. We are in the brand registry with a trademark. We are the creator and the only seller. We did not mark it discontinued. Where do we check to see if this was marked discontinued somewhere?

I don’t remember exactly where that is but it is in edit item on one of those screens. The area is “Is item discontinued by manufacturer” It’s a Yes / No toggle.

The only thing I see is “end of life,” and it is marked NO.

That must be new….

I haven’t gone into a listing to edit in quite some time but just did to check and I don’t see end of life or discontinued on any setup tab. Which tab do you see it in? We aren’t handmade so the workflows are likely different.

Hate to say it but maybe you can call seller support and try to get the catalog team to help you.

Found this on Google AI when asking “Can you ship an ASIN to FBA that’s marked End of Life”:

Yes, you can generally ship an ASIN marked “end of life” (EOL) or “manufacturer discontinued” to Amazon FBA, but it comes with significant risks regarding inventory management and potential storage fees. An EOL marker typically means there are no active offers, but the ASIN still exists in Amazon’s database.

The last part here “No Active Offers” may just be the issue. - Hopefully

Where do I see which? The End of Life you see here is on my FBA Inventory page (normally says healthy or unhealthy):

The End-of-Life toggle is on the Customize SKU Settings page:

Gotcha. All our listings (CPG’s) are locked as non-customizable which explains it as far as what I see and don’t see.

Hopefully a fellow Handmade seller knows the answer and can help some more.

We have active offers. I asked the Amazon Seller AI bot and it could not find any problems with the listings. It says there’s probably a glitch.

That’s pretty humorous actually. The AI Bot knows about the glitches. Hopefully it is correct!

I chatted with them for half an hour and they are escalating. They can’t figure it out.

Isn’t kind of a self fulfilling prophecy?

Hey we’ve detected your item is end of life so we’re not going to let you resupply.

Congratulations, you’ve sold all your stock of that “dead” product!

“Dead” product is now actually dead to us. :person_facepalming: :person_facepalming:
