FBA Placement fee on 5 case shipment

Just repacked a shipment into 5 cases to avoid placement fees.
No longer applies, this line at the top of the send-to page used to say “to avoid placement fees”, now it’s reduce processing time. Did I miss an announcement of this change?

Reduce processing time by including at least 5 single-SKU boxes for each SKU when using minimal shipment splits

My only available option is $8.80 placement fee charge. This is not a seasonal item.

$8.80 is better than what they wanted to charge me for 2 cases of 12 last week:

It use to be that in order to get the 5 split shipments, each package/box need to have all the same items and same units of each items. Did you do that?

Maybe Amazon is following Walmart’s lead and pushing 5 to 8 for no placement fees.

Adjust the shipment date at the top out a week or a few days and to open up the different FC’s to ship to. It is basing your result on your default ship date of today.

But when I select 4 Dec it looks like this…

This is what I am getting for one of my products…

Adjust the “Ship date” to Monday or like Wednesday and it should change.

Yes, it was all the same SKU, same number per box, same wt & dims for all boxes.

So you have one option without placement fees, but 2 of the options are actually cheaper with placement fees. I have learned to watch for that and not just no fees.

I accepted the shipment because my stock is getting low and I did not want to wait until Monday to get it moving. Initially I was going to just send 2 - 12 pk cases but I regrouped and prepped more when they wanted $63+ in placement fees. For 24 6x9" pouches.
I will remember your tip next time I encounter that.
