FBA Shipment shipped October 1st and delivered on Oct. 9 to SWF2. Just a small box, not a pallet, and used Amazon-partnered UPS.
3 weeks later it still was not checked in so I opened a case asking somebody to basically figure out why it hadn’t been checked in and received yet. The response was they confirmed it was delivered and “Further investigated the shipment from our end and would like to confirm you that all units shipped in the shipment will be processed, completely received and added to your inventory within the time frame 2024-10-23 to2024-11-16 unless any issue identified in the shipment.”
But it never was checked in or received. Today 11/19 it was closed with 0 of 70 units received. The Contents tab looks like this:
Before I click “research missing units” for all, along with the additional information they ask for (in my case as a handmade shop, I’m the manufacturer, so a signed packing slip), checking in here to see if anyone has any insight or advice.
May I ask if you can identify any correlation with the 28 (out of 70 sent) ‘Action required’ flags from what is shown as ‘warehouse transfers’ in your Inventory Ledger Report?
I’d do a search of Inventory Ledget Report, enter SWF2 for FC, and see if there is any entry for “Receipt” during that time period.
If there was a postive number for “Receipt” first, then a “-” from “Receipt” later on. You can use that first entry as proof that you did ship those units, and FC missplaced them after cheked them in and you should be reimbursed. I had sucess doing that.
But if there isn’t any entry of SWF2 showing “Receipt” of those units, then it might be hard to convince them SWF2 misplace the units. It’s possible they might turn up down the road, but who knows when that will be.
This shipment was never checked in or received. An Inventory Ledger report for that fulfillment center shows none of those units being received. I also did a report for the reference ID and nothing shows. It’s like it was delivered and then got lost.
I once had a similar situation, had to wait about 2 months until the shipment was closed, and then did the whole reconcile process. I was successful to get reimbursed for the whole shipment.
This was what I did: 1) made up a packing slip with all the information they asked for, printed it out and signed. 2)took a screenshot of the UPS tracking, printed it out, and added UPS receipt to it, 3)scanned 1 & 2, then attached to the reconcile statement. 4) made up a list w/ SKU, listing price, reimbursement amount (minus the fee), attached it too.
That was in Sept 2021, really don’t know if that’d still work. Good luck.
Well, that’s encouraging.
I got the packing slip ready and have a screenshot of UPS proof of delivery. I hadn’t thought of making a list of reimbursement amount–did you just subtract the referral fee amount? or FBA fee also?
I think it was both referral fee & FBA fee, whatever the “Total Fees” is showing on the inventory list.
I don’t think Amazon really was use my reimbursement list to determine how much to pay me. I made the list more for myself to have an idea about the dollar amount. The total amount Amazon paid me for the lost shipment was close enough I didn’t make a fuss about it
Just submitted the request for researching the discrepancy. Hopefully they simply magically find this lost box. Thanks for your help @Dreamscape-Studio
I sometimes forget to print and actually sign the packing slip before uploading.
My co-worker creates the packing slip with all needed information then I print it on paper and sign it with a blue ink pen. Scan then upload.
