FBM, brand owner, 50% featured offer %. Should I be worried?

… so with our Featured Offer % sitting at 0% (after being 100% for years), we decided to try the “Seller Assistant” as suggested by Amazon in this posting

… and we were informed this by “Seller Assistant”

… yet we still see this

Amazon … you speak with a forked tongue …

Expectation that Amazon will do some absurdly stupid stuff.

Hmm, interesting…we are also brand owners and sole seller of our items. We normally are between 90 percent-92 percent, though.

I always wondered why we weren’t 100% if no one was reselling these…but I do realize if you get a bad review, neg feedback, etc…they sometimes remove you from the featured offer from that item for a couple days. I’m surprised to read you other brand sellers are over 95%.

I’d like to think all of those very low percentages were just glitches. We haven’t seen any difference in our featured offer percentage since they announced they were changing the calculation of that.

Handmade custom products here.

The Featured Offer % has always been very volatile for me. So much so that I haven’t given it a thought in years.

The “data” that Amazon presents to all of us can’t be verified. Given how many A/B tests, various features being rolled out to some but not all, broken code, etc, there is little use in spending brain power and stress trying to figure out what you’re doing “wrong”. It is very likely there is nothing “wrong” and what is causing “issues” is completely out of your control.

:man_shrugging:

For the last week or so, mine has been dropping 2-3% per day to current 17%. Does not seem to have affected my non existent orders

Ours hit 0% a day or two after we saw 17% and has stayed there. Sales stayed normal until yesterday when we got a goose egg. Interestingly, we got a response from a mod yesterday who was working with the "team"s basically acknowledging the break down of that widget for custom and handmade sellers. The Seller Assistant bot acknowledged that we had “Featured Offer” on a couple of items that we checked so the “Featured Offer” widget on the seller central home page isn’t being feed the info.

If the Customize Now button isn’t registering as the “Featured Offer” like the Buy Now button does, then we won’t be seeing anything but a 0% in that widget box.

Interestingly I got a buyer message this morning:

We’d like to purchase but Amazon does not give an option to BUY NOW. Can you please help? Thank you.

There is a Customize Now button.

I also looked at my listings and I really need to edit some of the “new” values that are available since being transitioned from handmade being different. The bullets used to be the top, but now it is some of the product data and it looks stupid.

And when Amazon changed the bullets, we found that a bot had added in info that didn’t apply to the item. We would go through the listings and open them up to see what they say. You might need to open a few cases to get them corrected.

Mine haven’t been changed… yet.

Titles were all under the count so those were not changed either.

I’m another handmade /brand owner/ only seller on my listings. All of my other stats (performance, listings) are great.

Where do you see that “Featured Offer % Breakdown” table? I can’t find it in the “new” POS seller central website.

seller central > Featured offer % > pull-down

And now I’m down to 3% sheesh

I cannot find it either in the new version of seller central.

I’m not seeing a percentage at all - this is all I see at the top of the product inventory listing…

I’m still in the old seller central. Haven’t switched to the latest abomination yet.

We can’t find it on the new seller central and that widget on the old seller central home page isn’t working.

I am grabbing this off Business Reports, by Date, the Detail Page Sales and Traffic option

(edited several columns out in a graphics editor)

I think the tool is broken, we have several listings we are the only seller on and have the BB. It says featured offer is around 50% but we have never been without the BB as far as I have seen (I check stuff like this daily) and sales are consistent. My guess, they started using AI to calculate something and it is hallucinating.

As long as the hallucination is just multiplying by 0.

It starts dividing by zero and it might cause a singularity.
