FBM Inventory Evaporating- Listings Disappearing into the Ether

We’re having yet another family emergency and our daughter is running the biz/fulfilling orders w/ help from other family members.

While traveling, we’re selling an average of 5 daily-low for us-- but an avg. of 8 listings have disappeared from active inventory-about 15 more than we’ve sold. Not in suppressed. Not inactive. Not incomplete! Just gone!!

While repricing last night, 2 sold; 4 disappeared!! Beyond, hardcover/softcover versions, we have very few duplicate listings.

Anyone else noticed this slow dribbling away…

I did think that if these publishers weren’t approved, BOTS might remove them-but wouldn’t TPTB notify us, send an e-mail, say our account is in jeopardy-something~~
I’m flummoxed!!!

Are listings disappearing or do you mean inventory? Like, on your inventory page is the asin gone, or showing that it has no inventory?

If the latter, I have a few like this that have gone poof, and not showing reserved or researching, and no action on the inventory reports, but only a handful, and eventually they show up or I open a case.

The listings are gone-the count on the manage inventory page is decreasing for no discernable reason. Disappearing, not caused by sales/suppressions/incomplete listings.

We’ve got over 15,000 listings-and at a disadvantage since OOT. We had 15,192 listings last night, sold one this morning but have 15,188.

Do you know which listings disappeared?

I have had incorrect listing counts in the past which remedied themselves without any action on my part.

Too many listings to know if the count was wrong or the listings were gone.

If there is any sort of family emergency, is this concern about listings a aim to distract. If so, do not let me discourage you from worrying about these listings.

No, Lake. Not panicking, just wondering. Don’t need more distractions! Got my hands full w/ a nearly 100-year-old relative w/ health issues for whom I’m the POA/Trustee.

Do what you must. I have allowed my brother to take responsibility for my soon to be 103? mother, and am only feeling slightly guilty when you good people step up to deal with things.

I can’t believe I am including my brother with good people.

I haven’t ascertained dates originally listed, which would be first step.

Not going to try to get family members to dig thru data. They’ve got all they can do to fulfill and go to the P.O. Since nobody else seems to be having this issue, when we return home in couple weeks, might have recovered the listings…or maybe not.

Do you have it on Excel? It would be pretty easy to figure out on Excel. Put data you are comparing into two adjacent columns and then highlight differences. That will show you what has changed.

Still occurring-for every 8 we sell, losing another 2! Put out of my mind-and drinking an adult beverage for relaxation’s sake-- till return home.

Has nothing to do w/ the thread–but we went into a Kroger in Ohio to buy crackers/cheese. The store not only had a great deli section but a wine bar plus a brass quartet playing live jazz at the back of the store. At least 2 dozen ages 40-70+ relaxing w/ a glass! We were floored!!
