So when I navigate to my Shipping Settings/Handling time and click the “View recommendations for SKU level handling time” on the next page both of my fast moving FBM items have “1 Days” under the “Recommended handling time”, but the next column over “Handling time setting” it shows as “2 Days Amazon Managed (AHT)”. So that is why I’m seeing the 2 days now for these SKU’s. So how do I get them back to 1 day handling when I have AHT and SSA enabled?

So on my 2 fast selling FBM items the “Recommended handling time” is showing at “1 Days” ,but the “Handling time setting” is showing “2 Days”. I have both AHT and SSA enabled and AHT is set to 1 day handling. I ship all my orders the next day. So how do I get these two SKUs to go back to 1 Day handling time?
Yes … with AHT enabled, what Amazon has seen as handle time in the past for those items was 2 day handle time. Currently, it is seeing a 1 day handle time and will change the Handle Time Setting to 1 day as long as you continue to ship that item as 1 day handle time.
If you want those two items to be 1 day handle time, then ship those items as 1 day handle time.
Order Day - Ship Day
Monday - Tuesday
Tuesday - Wednesday
Wednesday - Thursday
Thursday - Friday
Friday - Monday (or Saturday if you have Saturday as a working day)
Saturday - Monday
Sunday - Monday
Buy the labels on the Ship Day
Now, if you have some items that are 2 day handle time and you get an order with a 2 day handle time item and a 1 day handle time item, then the order will have the 2 day handle time as the last ship by date. It is better to ship it as a 2 day handle time to preserve the 2 day handle time on the item with 2 day handle time. It could mean that the next single order of the 1 day handle time item will come in as a 2 day handle time but just ship it as a 1 day handle time and it will correct the next order (it might take two orders of it).
The schedule you posted is what I always do. I ship the next business day after the order has come in with Friday/Saturday/Sunday orders all shipped on Monday. So I don’t know why those went to 2 day handling time. Does Amazon calculate to the minute from the time the order is received to when I exactly print the label or when I get the scan at USPS or UPS? So say any order that comes in from 12:01am Monday until 11:59pm Monday I will for example starting printing shipping labels around 2pm Tuesday and will get everything to USPS or UPS to scan before 5pm. So is it possible that my handling time is actually more than 1 day if Amazon is basing it on the exact time of when order comes in and to the time I print shipping labels and/or get my scan at USPS/UPS?
The key here is the time zone you are in compared to the time zone Amazon is reporting on the order (which is Pacific Time). So, if you are on the east coast and Eastern Time, your actual order clock would be like Monday 3:00am to Tuesday 2:59am as compared with the Amazon order Pacific Time. Which means that an order that came in on Monday 2:00am (which would be Amazon Sunday 11:00pm) would need to be shipped on Monday.
End of Day for Amazon
11:59pm Pacific Time (Sunday)
Which is
2:59am Eastern Time (Monday)
1:59am Central Time (Monday)
12:59am Mountain Time (Monday)
It is possible … if you are Eastern Time and the order shows as 11:58pm on Sunday and you process / ship / print the label on Tuesday, then the item is 2 day handle time.
If you are printing at 2pm each day and clear all orders each day at 2pm, then you should be 1 day handle time on all items.
Now … do you have your operation store hours set to Monday thru Friday with Saturday and Sunday closed? … or do you have Saturday and/or Sunday as open and shipping days?
If you have Saturday set as open and an order comes in on Friday and you ship that order on Monday, then you just created a 2 day handle time for that item as it would have needed to go out on Saturday.
AHT is always evolving based on your shipping pattern. If you want 1 day shipping on all items, then follow a 1 day shipping pattern and AHT will evolve to that as it recognizes each ASIN / SKU has followed that pattern (just remember that a combo order with a 2 day handle time item and a 1 day handle time item will effect one of the items based on which shipping handle time pattern you follow for that order).
Consistency of shipping pattern is key to making AHT work perfectly.
I am on Pacific time zone. My store is only open Monday-Friday only. So you are saying that if an order comes in 7am PST and I print label on Tuesday at 2pm and get carrier scan before 5pm PST Tuesday then I would still be within the 1 day handling as long as the carrier scan is done by 11:59PM the next business day. So exact timing of when order comes to when time label prints is not a factor in Amazon’s metrics then..I have until the next business day 11:59pm to have carrier scan to qualify as 1 day handling?
Can I go to the two SKUs click Edit and under Offer put in a “1” to overwrite it back to 1 day handling or just keep shipping 1 day as I am doing it and it will revert back to 1 day again.

No … with you being in PST, the order would have to go out Monday to maintain 1 day shipping. Since you are in PST, this is your shipping pattern to maintain 1 day shipping for orders with order day placed times of 12am to 11:59pm and store hours of Mon - Fri and closed Sat & Sun.
Our example was for if you were in Eastern Time zone and how an order about midnight would be seen by Amazon when it comes to handle time …
If you are talking about going into Manage Inventory > Edit for the SKU and changing the handle time to 1 day, then yes this will help.
With AHT enabled, this is what you HAVE TO DO to get AHT to give 1 day handle time for those items.
No … when you print the label in Amazon Buy Shipping … that is the time the order is considered shipped by Amazon AND the order needs to be scanned accepted by the shipping service before 11:59pm on that day (which should always be on or before the last ship by date of the order).
If you buy a label off of Amazon, then it will be the time the tracking is entered into Amazon AND the order needs to be scanned accepted by the shipping service before 11:59pm on that day (which should always be on or before the last ship by date of the order).
