Hi all! Does anyone have experience dealing with carrier adjustment disputes for FedEx OneRate (in the US)?
FedEx has been adjusting 60-80% of our OneRate shipments that are bought through the Amazon Buy Shipping portal (with Amazon rates, not our account). The carrier audited dimensions and weight are always the same, but the price is higher. I let the small dollar adjustments go because they weren’t worth my time to dispute.
However, today FedEx hit us with a $200+ adjustment for a FedEx OneRate 2Day package. We used our own packaging (per Amazon’s guidelines), and inputted the correct dimensions. The packaging size was aligned with the FedEx Extra Large box and we paid the $29.50 rate. Dropped it off with no issue. Today we get the dreaded adjustment charge with the following language: “ The shipping services purchased for the package did not match the carrier-reported charge for shipping the package”.
If anyone has successfully disputed this or figured out a way to reduce adjustments when using the BYO packaging rule, please let us know!!
From what I understand this is a common problem with FedEx and Amazon. Constant adjustments that are more than the original shipping.
Also FedEx does not honor insurance when buying through Amazon.
It seems they are pulling some sort of scam and I have not heard of anyone winning with any dispute with FedEx.
I have helped many sellers reverse UPS adjustments through Amazon Buy Shipping purchases.
I have fixed many FedEx adjustments but they have always been 1st Party accounts, unfortunately not the Amazon Buy Shipping FedEx account.
I would use the same process for FedEx adjustments as I do for UPS adjustments since they are both on the Amazon Buy Shipping account.
@csc000 , if you want help with 1 of your adjustments, you may send me a DM/PM or message and I can walk you through the steps. I use messages because I would need to know your product and see the the actual amazon listing which you may not want public here.
I do have a full workload, but should be able to help.
It’s fun to help in spare time during the day. Not really spare time, more like coffee break time.
My support time adds up after a few days of replies, but results with seller support does take time. A long time. The larger the amount the longer the the time delay.
