For items that aren't RFS there are no options for customer lied about return reason.

There is no way to withhold original shipping price or return shipping price. A customer can just state a seller faulted return reason, without providing proof of damage you can’t charge more than a 19% restocking fee.

I tried waiting it out for Amazon to provide a refund and after 1 week they still had not.

There is a way if I remember correctly but it stupidly requires a flat file upload I think

The Amazon compliant method of getting back shipping costs for incorrect return reasons is a SAFE-T claim.

Otherwise, if 20% restocking fee doesn’t cover the shipping, you need to do an order adjustment feed, as @Pepper_Thine_Angus mentioned.

Sadly the link on the Amazon help files goes to a broken page. The feed seems to no longer exist

You can try this?

That link works …

But I recommend @HobbesIsMyTiger’s link

As Oneida notes, the feed still exists, but it’s an actual “Feed” - i.e., requiring the use of XML techniques.

Hobbes’ link is to the Dashboard for using the Order Adjustment flat-file, which is likely what you want.

Gave it a few more days and no autorefund.
leave it to amazon to give you a defective template though. I had to fix it so it didn’t abbreviate the order item ID.
Was able to do the 50% restocking fee and no refund on shipping. I was also able to get the manufacturer to send me the missing accessories for free.

The guy probably had an older one where the blinder wore out and figured he could get one for free.

Homey don’t play that way.
