Ollie had a pretty good day. Here’s a summary:
- FIV and FeLV negative on the blood tests.
- He pooped twice. Both movements were all connected to each other with long human hair (my daughters). There wasn’t a lot of hair but I have never seen this before. Could be the root cause. Maybe he got to her brush? We aren’t sure.
- Sample (all of it) was taken to the vet to be sent to the lab to be looked at and tested for other parasites.
- He ate a decent amount but still no wet food.
- I think the biggest breakthrough of the day was he started drinking on his own. Hadn’t seen him or saw any evidence that he drank anything since Sat. I was force drinking him yesterday and earlier today (oral syringe).
He’s on the appetite stimulant until Friday at least. We will reassess the situation when the stool sample results come back.
Hopefully he keeps eating and drinking through tomorrow night (no Vet to help other than the ER). Rather not plunk down another $1500 unless I have to.
