The first one is my avatar, our beloved dog Shaka, whom we lost this March after a two-month-long heartbreaking battle with hemangiosarcoma 
Before Shaka, we had another angel, named Dali. And after losing him, we werenāt able to adopt another pet for 5 yearsā¦ This time, we did just the opposite. The second one is Shakaās distant cousin, Pasha, 3 months old as of today, keeping us busy.

Damnā¦ Heās been dewormed twice with Drontal which is supposed to work the first time and heās still testing positiveā¦ 3rd times a charm I hopeā¦
As hard as we tried, we couldnāt get him to take the pill at home yesterdayā¦ Had to take him back to the vet and they got it down his throat in 2 secondsā¦ Thankfully this is only once today and once more in 2 weeks and hopefully that should be thatā¦

Years ago I learned from our Vet how to give a cat a pill. You grab their head in a certain way that opens their mouth and push the pill to the back of their throat. Done quickly, the pill goes right down and the cat is not angry at you.
I thought I had that figured out once. Worked well a few times. Then I had several simultaneous puncture wounds on the next attempt.
Yea, Iāve been taking care of cats for 24 years. Never could get the hang of pills. Not sure why these things arenāt avail in liquids. Iām a pro with an oral syringeā¦
