I’m actually up to 2 orders now, so I need to figure out what I’m doing.
Where do I find my shipping templates?
Some of you have mentioned buying shipping through Walmart. Where is that option, and are there any advantages to buying through them instead of PirateShip?
What is the penalty for items arriving late?
I found the Performance page, but don’t have enough data yet to see anything meaningful. What is the target percent for on-time deliveries, and what happens if you miss it?
Is there any advantage to offering 3-day delivery for your standard option? It’s been several weeks since I first signed up and I (apparently) set my default standard delivery at 3 days. I can’t remember why. I went back and changed it to 4 days for most of the US, to be on the safe side.
I also took a more detailed look at their shipping templates. Pretty cool, I like how they’re broken down by more detailed region than Amazon’s.
you don’t mark an order shipped a day before it’s scanned (say you prepare the label today but it’s picked up on Monday)
Why? What happens if you do that?
Thanks for the screenprint. I see the on-time delivery target is 95%. Can you or @TheOrangeCrush share more on what happens if you don’t meet it?
It’s a bit like eBay, it helps determine if you’re pro seller
Is Walmart’s Pro Seller the equivalent of eBay’s Top Rated? As someone who shops on Walmart, I assumed “Pro” was somehow equivalent to Amazon’s pro vs individual account, but you’re saying it’s more like a stamp of approval that you’re a trustworthy seller?
Do you know off hand how you earn that badge? I’ll try looking it up in their help.
when you input the tracking info it actually saves it. It often fails to do so
If it doesn’t save the tracking, does it still move the order to ‘shipped’? So the only way to check that the tracking was saved is by manually looking at each order?
You get a VTR hit (apparently). I get VTR hits and have no idea why. I never get them on Amazon though.. If this is true, they are penalizing sellers for buying shipping early. That makes no sense, do they want us to let the weekend orders pile up Saturday and Sunday and then hope we can catch up on Monday?
My tracking is automatically uploaded to Walmart through API (Teapplix) when I buy shipping.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if it could have anything to do with having weekend days marked as work days? What are your settings under the General Shipping Settings / Standard Processing Schedule?
I’m still trying to understand how all these settings affect things, and when I first started, I tried to give myself the same extra cushion I have on Amazon by selecting settings I thought would give me extra time.
I did not choose a cut-off time for Sat/Sun and Walmart marked those as ‘closed’ days on my calendar. I’m ok with that, even though I do usually ship on Saturdays. I’m happy not to have to.
I’ve also set my fulfillment time to 1 since Walmart seems to want either 0 or 1, and I hope will give me a next day shipping commitment.
When you update the tracking there’s a banner in the bottom that will say order updated successfully or not. Check it!
I conectes Walmart to ship station and problem has been solved. But when you enter the info manually it can fail.
It’s a snow ball effect! Sales will grow quickly! But remember that you also need to make sure that the listings are rated 70% according to Walmarts standard. That’s BS mostly, but it’s their rules

I didn’t understand that part of your message. I’m finding about half the items I want to list already have pages on Walmart (search by match) so I just list mine. It’s weird how, every time, I have to delete the Amazon ASIN from this section, or it throws an error.
I prefer to create the listing from scratch, since I know if will be done correctly. But I don’t know anything about a listing rating, I guess I better figure that out, huh?
Here’s an example for an order that caused a hit under Valid Tracking Rate. Obviously it has valid tracking, BUT it’s arriving late…so there’s the hit. Item shipped on time, but Chicago is horrible.
I can’t remember where you’re located, if I even knew. Does Chicago regularly cause you delays? My first-class service is lightning fast to that area, I’m surprised to see it mentioned as a trouble spot.
It does seem odd that a late delivery would cause a VTR hit, especially when the item is still in transit and still could arrive on time. So far, I’ve only had 2 orders delivered, and both made it on time, and VTR is 100%, but I’ll watch out for this in the future. Thanks for the heads up.
I’m messing around some more on Walmart, but with a grand total of 3 orders so far, I don’t have much meaningful data. Regarding your invalid tracking issue, do you see anything helpful on this screen?
So you mean one of your items occasionally gets shipped from Chicago? I could imagine that (not the late delivery) might account for your invalid tracking. Do you think Walmart looks at the origin scans? Like, if you have an item designated as coming from a ‘fulfillment center’ (ie home address) in Alabama, but it gets its original scan in Chicago instead, that might trigger an invalid tracking.
