Heads up for Endicia users

Don’t know where this really belongs.

Just wanted to post a heads up to anyone who might have been in a similar position.

Sometime during the month of August, Endicia switched how they charge me when I add funds to my account.

It always had been charged directly to a checking account. Then sometime around mid-August it switched to a credit card. I had a heck of a time figuring out why my Endicia purchases weren’t showing on my bank account.

No notice. When I tried to add a payment method to get back to checking account I found no way to do so – only set up to accept credit card now.

Debit card with Master Card logo perhaps?

Thanks. I’m sure the debit card would work – don’t care that much.

Just annoyed that I had to figure it out for myself and annoyed that they took the liberty.

I used Endicia for years, at $19.95 a month. Switched to PirateShip (free) a few years ago, and it has served my needs well. Is there a reason you stay with Endicia?

Good question. I started out with Endicia using Dazzle and everything was on my computer the way I like it. I lost that with a Dazzle upgrade that made it stop working for me. But I much prefer using Endicia even going to the online version – I also use PirateShip – but just for international.

I liked the feature that Endicia had where old tracking records are stored with Endicia even after you cannot access through USPS. Although I don’t know if that still exists.

Most people don’t know if you are an eBay seller, you can get a free Stamps account. We have had one for several years, but I switched all my shipping to PirateShip about a year ago after I had issues with thermal printing that I just didn’t have the time to figure out. I hardly do anything on Stamps any more, but still have the free account. It does have limited features, but nothing that prevents you from shipping normally including integration with many platforms.
