Help Us Choose New Colors for Product Details in MakerPlace! We want your input on expanding our color options for your items when you add details about your products as you build your listings.
Here’s the current list of colors we offer in your product details:
Black, Blue, Brown, Clear, Copper, Gold, Green, Gray, Multicolor, Beige, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Rose Gold, Silver, White, Yellow
Here are a few that we are adding:
Nickel, Navy, Turquoise, Brass, Bronze

that’s too much like nickel, which is already being added.
Turquoise, teal, aqua, coral, peach, mauve, rust, off-white, amber

… problem with “nickel” as a color is it is also something you don’t want to have mistaken as an element within the product … our product is certified as not having nickel in it and we wouldn’t want to describe the color as nickel or silver as it causes confusion for the customer …

Your point about steel being a better descriptor than nickel is good.
There’s a separate field for materials, which needs more additions and fixing than the color field. @MakerPlace ?

Yeah, having nickel as a color choice is weird. I’ve never heard anyone describe something as nickel-colored. Silver or silver-tone would cover it.
