Help - Cancelled FBA shipment already handed to UPS

Bonehead move.
My guy Shipped yesterday, and we had another shipment today.

Since it was within 24 hours yesterdays shipment, it was still in the queue, and available to cancel (24 hours).

But since we never ship 2 days in a row, it was odd to him that an order was in the queue, but since I made a few “fake” shipments to test just how the placement fees were to be charged, how many boxes, how many pieces per SKU, I had many "open’ orders, and that is where the deletion CONFUSION occurred.

Any HELP.

  1. Do nothing? And Amazon will process?
  2. Recreate the shipment and somehow have them matched.

Must have happened a million times before? But what is solution?

You printed the UPS labels and then cancelled the shipment? UPS didn’t scan the boxes and notice the labels were invalid?

Not sure how this will move through the UPS system without a valid label. If it does make it to FBA, it’s going in the mystery pile for them to go through when they have time.

If your product has your FNSKU labels on it, you’ve got a chance of Amazon bringing it in.

I made this mistake a few years ago and was able to get seller support to reactivate the shipment. Something tells me they won’t do this anymore but could try that too.

Thanks for the note.
.
We printed and shipped the order yesterday at 2pm.
Today it was voided at 10am
.
yes on the FNSKU

Created a case and see if you can get that plan opened up. That’s your best shot of things moving normal.

Well, I guess I will be the current guinea pig on this.

Called and got the same answer - coin flip.
.
I had to ship out east so it will be at least 7-10 days before I MAY KNOW
what will be done.

Will report back

Well the good thing about this is I don’t think this is a unique type of problem. People canceling a shipment after it was sent probably is a frequent enough problem for Amazon to have a SOP on how to handle it.

Hopefully you just get a violation for incorrectly canceling a shipment (which you can just acknowledge, and it shouldn’t cause any further issues) and they receive everything fine

This should process as normal. I would not loose sleep over it honestly.

Normally, if the shipment is already in transit when you cancel it, Amazon will still receive it as if it hadn’t been cancelled, so you should be all right. They might hit you with a violation, but it wouldn’t be one a very serious one (small ding to your shipment performance). Also, you may encounter problems when trying to reconcile the shipment if it’s not received in full. Anyway, this does happen from time to time - happened to us a couple of weeks ago and shipment was still received correctly,
