Good to hear from you, Aquaponix!
Good to hear from you. Are those some form of southwestern influenced igloos?
Dead link.
We fixed it for him … go ahead and try it now.
I am really interested in following along on your blog! This is amazing–as is living in your barn apartment for so long! (All of my family’s barns over the years have included (human) living space, indoor plumbing and facilities on both levels (inc powder room on stall level, full bath upstairs), and stall-level office space, too.)
The struggle for function + comfort + eco-aware is real, and I look forward to you sharing your wisdom!

I can relate with this. We have been renovating our 1702-1845 connected farmhouse for 22 years. At the start the people I hired were very reliable. Except for a few big ones, like the structural engineer, barn lifter, concrete guy and bridge builders that did the supporting structure they were great… No one shows up, no one is on time, no one finishes if they do show up.
I have regretted not doing a blog, the problem is I had to become an ‘army of one’ to get it moving. That and great interns from local schools. That I do not regret.
Great work on yours so far. I have considered creating one and post dating it since I have well over 10K pictures, both before and after. When I am done… The building started 302 years ago, so that may never come.
You should! You could even frame it more of a “timeline” until present day. But DIYers at all levels of experience and expertise are looking online for tips, and any homeowner doing builds/restoration/renovation definitely has wisdom that could help someone out.
