Is anyone here hosting images ON Walmart through Seller Central?
Trying to create new products using a spreadsheet and that’s my issue.
I used to use IMGUR .com and somehow got cancelled.
Then I found imgbb .com and that worked for Amazon, but not Walmart
(I think it’s because it’s an “https” address and not an “http” address and I can’t simply remove the “s”)
Chat GPT says Walmart provides a service to host images for sellers. And it’s in Seller Central.
But where?
I am still learning Walmart, but here is my thought.
I use Walmart Seller Center to store product images, but Walmart does not have a way to provide the images before creating the product.
I create each product one by one in Seller Center and add the photos during creation.
Then the images are saved in Walmart Seller Center, and I can use those links to create a spreadsheet for future use and Variation Templates.
You just right click on the photo in Seller Center or on Walmart and click “copy link” to get the url.
I use the spreadsheets to create new products when the image links are already available from our website, Amazon, or eBay.
Https links are okay as long as you can view the url or link in a browser.
I have not used imgbb or imgur sites you mentioned, but can you copy and paste the url or link into a browser and see the actual photo from their hosting site? If yes, that should work for Walmart. I think.
Side note: quickly typed before going home tonight.
To answer your last question, no I can’t see the images which is the problem for Walmart.
But you gave me an idea.
I thought I remember creating each product one at a time…but once one is created, I can use that picture for the spreadsheet and then go back and swap them out to the correct ones. I already have this style established, so I should be able to get a photo that way.

Neat idea. I think I am following your thought correctly.
Sounds like using 1 existing Walmart image as a placeholder to create new products using the spreadsheet then manually change the photos after the listings are created.
On the 8th try to create 5 new items, I finally have a BINGO.
This is the image string that finally worked. It was the one from Walmart by right clicking on the image to copy the URL:

I just copied and pasted that from my spreadsheet and then added a space here and there so you would see the code and not the picture itself. (Not that it’s any secret)
Frustrating, but I think I cracked the code and now I gotta go back individually and correct the images to what they actually are.
And no I did not use the manual method. BUT I did “lie” on the spreadsheet in the image column…knowing I gotta fix that later.

Oh, and now to go back and add it to a variation family. Since the family already existed, these are add on options/variations. If it was a completely new family, that part can be done going in. But I did get told to create the items and THEN add them to the existing family.
that is what I do also when adding new items to an existing variation/family.
I have not been able to figure out the last step.
Any chance you can assist?
And the dummies put my items into the wrong category, do I need to get that fixed first? I think so because the variation (size) I use wasn’t in one of the spreadsheets that I managed to download and give it a try.

You may already know this, but just in case… To add items to a variation family or to create a variation family, you go to your catalog, select the items involved in the family, click the 3 dots to the right (red arrow), and click create variation group. Not sure, but if the group already exists, perhaps an “edit variation family” will be in the drop down.
As far as category changes go, those are locked in (at least for us), changing the category probably has to be done with a help ticket and Walmart’s seller support makes Amazon’s look like Gold-Star-First-Class. Good luck.

So I tried, and I don’t see what I need.
But my bigger problem now is that the attribute I need to use is not a choice because they put my items in the TEA COOZIE category.
I’ve had to create a case to get that fixed in the past, so let’s see if I can get them to give me the spreadsheet for that.

That’s what’s under the three dots on the right. Neither choice is correct.
So I’m missing something.
And I have a case started to ask to amend the shelving for many items.
