I did find my item in the Valentine’s Day gift guide down at the bottom in the “Live in a Heart Shaped world” section.
It is one of the items that submitted to the editors when they asked for valentines day items. No sales yet and I honestly don’t expect any sales, I’ve had this design for 3 years now I think and even though it is cute (heart shaped donuts and coffee), it has not sold at all either on Etsy or Amazon LOL.
Congrats! The “valentines decor” section is tiresome with the vast majority being t-shirts from the same seller
a lot of it is the same picture repeated in several places. I don’t see the point in doing that because it leads to boredom.
I found my item that is been spotlighted today. It’s in Valentine’s Day shop - Editor’s Pick. It’s one of my folded book. I’m thankful this item is been spotlighted, but kind of wish they’ve choosen one of my earrings, which would be easier to sell.
I only listed 2 of my folded book before, so added couple more other love themed books in case the spotlight draw valentine’s gift buyers to my store.
Baby steps on seller control improvements/features. We now have an “Inactive” filter on products AND we get an email prior to them going inactive. Next on the wish list would be the “stay logged in” issue. It used to work for me but last week or two it forces login and 2FA daily.

I just got my email today “you may be spotlighted on an upcoming Valentine’s Day carousel…”
Of course, no idea which item it might be, or even if it’s one that I suggested, which were items with a larger quantity. 15/27 heart listings are OOAK. We’ll see. Anyone know if the carousel changes on a specific day?

I submit one item per week from their Saturday email “we’re looking for…”

It looks like they sent this email on Fridays. I got mine last Friday, yours today is also Friday. It said we have 3 days to op-out, so nothing is going to happen for at least 3 days. I found my item on 1/24 (Wed), I’m pretty sure it wasn’t there on 1/23 (Tue).
I hope the sportlight last longer than a week, but on 1/24 I noticed @ModernSwitch’s light switchcover that was showing in another section of that page was gone, but I’m not sure when it started showing there.
My item is high enough priced, I’m not holding my breath for a sale of it.Hope your item is something that’s easier to sell and not OOAK, so you can get more benefit from it.
Please let us know where to look for your item when you found it next week.

Where did you see the other 2 books?
I only see the “I Love You” book showcased in Valentine’s Day Shop, in Editor’s Pick section. I tried, but couldn’t find the other 2 books.
I’m up to 12 sales there with only 90 products listed - and they’ve been decent. I haven’t even tried search or anything - just chugging along adding things when I have spare time.
I chugged through all 40 pages of the Valentine’s Day shop today, and all 3 of your books were on the same page. However, I couldn’t find it later and won’t do the 40-page chug again until tomorrow. I do remember that one of them was the Pop Art LOVE with the angled O.

On my browser (Chrome), Valentine’s Day shop has 79 pages, 2342 item with “valentines”, so it’s probably showing all the item with Valenines in the title. I clicked last page by mistake, and then went to p.78, and there are my 2 newly listed books. Don’t think anybody is going to see them going through all 78 pages of the “Valentine’s Day shop”.
In case you dind’t know, I did see some of your earrings, here is how to get to them: click "Valentine’s Day tab at the top of the MP main page > next page, go to “Live in the Heart-sharped world” at the bottom of the page, click “View more”:
Next page, from the right side choose “Dangle earrings” under Catagories. There are 352 heart-shaped earrings (12 pages), there are quite a few of your earrings starting fr p.5.
I saw them before you received that email, so you might get something else Spotlighted, hopefully in a more visible spot.

I found 15 pairs of my earrings, and 5 accessories. Wherever I’m placed, I’m glad Michaels is making an effort.
I didn’t submit anything, but did quickly load a Valentine’s Day print that I had of a vintage heart-shaped door knocker in Galway Ireland. I had no idea there were shops though - I don’t know that I have the patience to go through 40 pages!
Have you sold any of those items recently, since they started advertising for Valentines?
I haven’t had any sale for my books, and since the stats for my “Listing View” hasn’t updated since 1/20, I couldn’t tell whether getting spotlighted even brought more views to my item/items during the past week. 
As of yesterday’s report update, my shop had 358 searches for heart, and 96 for heart earrings. However, only two sales this months, and neither of them were hearts.
I just joined. Mostly to see other people’s experience with Makerplace. I just started there about a week ago. I don’t think I have had any views yet, but I’m not too sure how you can check that. From what I have read (on this forum) people seem to be sort of upbeat about the chances for this new site.
