I’ve seen some sellers do this. Is it via the customization option? How do they do this?
Let’s say I want to sell 100 of something. I want the customer to be able to mix and match. For instance, they can buy 30 red, 20 blue, and 50 orange. How do I give them the option of choosing what goes in the bag? I know I’ve seen this before.
Can’'t say that I’ve seen that ability, that I can recall, nor a way to create it. I can only imagine at the moment, creating variations consisting of each possible choice of quantities … not very ideal.
You brought up “Customization” and that might be an option.
Create a listing where the quantity of the listing is 100 and use the custom option to provide the option of [QTY] option red, [QTY] option green [QTY] option blue. The trick would be how to make sure the total [QTY] equals 100.
EDIT: We think there was a way of setting up a promotion through ads where you could set a discounted price or percent off for when a customer bought $xxx of the group of items defined by the promotion. Not sure if this still exists.
Agree … but it isn’t had to add once the product is created if you have customizations that are standard (the same across several products). You can simply click your customization template to add it to the product.
Ah, I see how that works. But you have to wait for the product to go live, which on a bad day may be a few hours, before you add customizations. And then, of course, one has to create templates.
@Amazon_Seller have you tried these, or are you still looking for a solution?
FWIW, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a listing where I as a Buyer can choose “different” pieces in my one unit. Any chance that you know a listing that you can share with us? If you haven’t found a way yet, seeing it in action might help with troubleshooting.
