These “retail arbitrage” types can get a product manufacturer like myself in BIG TROUBLE.
I sell a product used in animal husbandry. Some countries consider it a “veterinary” product, and require very specific labeling. Some countries have rules that require some labeling (such as hazard warnings) in the LOCAL language. They know where to find me, as I sought permission to allow a dealer to import my product. Now the idiot who orders on Amazon.com, and sets the “ship-to” address to an obvious freight forwarder, such as “SellerShipping Warehouse” in Little Falls NJ is buying the US-labeled product in English, and sending it Lord only knows where, potentially putting ME in violation of various regulations that are aimed at the manufacturer, not the import/export scammer.
He also competes with my local in-country dealers, who get annoyed when they see things like an Amazon listing in their country for my product, as they assume that I must have done that, and no amount of explaining that Amazon did it without my permission, and against my expressed wishes will ever really do.
So, I have a “tactic” which I will post in the members-only area, under the title “Dealing With Retail Arbitrage”, as it must be the case that they are using some program that allows them to automate the process of ordering and having the order trans-shipped with the help of companies like “SellerShipping Warehouse”.
