Several brands I sell either don’t sell directly to retailers or won’t sell directly to me for various reasons (I don’t meet their minimum orders, things like that). As a result, when Amazon demands my invoices, I give them the invoices for my suppliers which are usually regional distributors. As far as I can tell, Amazon has never reached out to these distributors for confirmation or anything. They just reject the invoices because they don’t recognize the supplier.
How do I get Amazon to recognize or authorize a supplier so they will accept my invoices?
Right, because if the brand has told Amazon to not allow 3rd party sellers, it doesn’t matter what and where your invoice is from, it will be rejected.
Is all the contact info on the invoice you are submitting for both your business and the distributors? I’m asking if it’s legible for the bots to read? This could be why. Also - your business info needs to be on it of course, but also match your account info exactly. I know you know the drill, but grasping at straws here for you and with you….
Way back, I included a link to the manufacturer’s authorized distributor page which included my supplier. Whether it would still work is anyone’s guess but it would cost nothing to try.
Do you think Amazon may be requiring an invoice from your Regional Distributor to prove their supply chain with the manufacturer? See highlighted info below.
In some cases, you may need to provide a copy of your distributors invoice, without pricing, from the brand manufacturer when uploading your invoice from a separate distributor.
Yes and yes. They issue fairly straightforward invoices with all the standard information.
I have had invoice problems in the past but usually Amazon complains about the invoices themselves, claiming they may have been altered or some bot nonsense. In this case, they just insist the supplier is “unverifiable” and then make no attempt to verify the supplier.
How the heck am I supposed to get that? What distributor would ever give me that info, even without the prices?
If Amazon reached out the distributor themselves, they would be fine giving Amazon their invoices. They gave that to me in writing. But Amazon has never attempted to contact them.
