How to remove ASINs from your inventory besides "Delete"?

So I know general advice is to delete listings from your account when you aren’t selling them anymore. I also know Amazon doesn’t care if you delete it they can still come for you.

That being said, I know at one point in the NSFE there was a post about deleting items from your inventory in a more “permanent” or “correct” way - it had something to do with an upload file to have them removed. Does anyone have that post linked or could share the process if you know what I am referring to?

The reason I ask is that today I got an email from amazon that they had removed a review from one of my listings (not mine, just one I listed on) from a bad customer. It’s surprising they actually did something about someone, but still, that ASIN hasn’t been in my inventory I think for over a year. So I was thinking about looking up all the old ASINs I used to sell and trying out that other process that one of the Amazon mods mentioned in a post, but I can’t find it at all.

Much appreciated if you have any help you can offer!

@dwat0870 laid out the instructions pretty clearly here.

If you still have questions, let us know.

Edit: I don’t know that you should take that email as an indication that your listing was not completely deleted. They may send that email out to everyone who has ever listed on the ASIN.

Understood. I just want to do anything I need to in order to reduce my risk as much as possible. Too bad I don’t have a list of all the ASINs I ever sold :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@SoldBySelf did the “d” (or “x”) work for you?

I have not tried any of this yet. The main reason being I don’t remember all the old ASINs that I have since removed. Those would be the ones I would want to use this process on. I generally just delete listings from my inventory page as I have few changes most of the time.
