If we did this Amazon would go nuts, adding time during checkout for snow storm.

Browsing on Amazon for a tire chuck, found one free Prime delivery tomorrow or pick up tomorrow (Sunday)

Go through the check out get to the end and now delivery isn’t until Wednesday.

I fully understand the reasoning because we are getting a storm over the next 2 days, but if we did this it would be a hit to our ratings.

Few clicks around and everything is showing Jan 29th Prime delivery for me, so yes, they are padding and I HOPE THEY ARE ALSO DOING IT FOR 3PS LISTINGS TOO!!! (both based upon seller location and buyer location).

AFA those 3PS that are drop shipping from locations other then the address in your profile, sorry?

Aren’t you in PA? I think it will be worse there in terms of snow totals (area dependent)

You signed into your account?

I see it on the App and desktop. Assuming you’re in an area affected?

Pretty much everyone is, some worse than others.

Everyone be safe!

Yeah tell me about it.

I just shipped anything that is supposed to go out Monday, I know USPS won’t be coming on Monday dispite the “Neither snow, nor rain, nor gloom of night…”

This is not on my Amazon home page, and we live nearby. Wonder if Nisha sees it?

Yep, I’m seeing that banner.

Of course, no idea how that will impact us as sellers; would be nice to have an announcement that OTDR would not factor in for the next week or whatever; or that we are getting auto-extensions on shipping/transit times.

Which makes me think; I think I’ll change my in-state and next-state settings to longer times, instead of the normal 2-4 days. I don’t want something going upstate NY being late because the trucks can’t move for 3 days.

ETA: So I just learned that for my state, I can’t set anything longer than 2-4 days. Should be okay, but I wish we could go a bit longer (why is the next step up from 2-4 days 5-8? I would use 3-6 for a good chunk of the country if it was available)

As with everything amazon does i assume this is a phased rollout

We aren’t in the storm path, but I though the language in the automated (whether you want it or not) shipping/transit settings made it clear that Amazon will show the buyer the delivery time with extension for the “disaster”, but unless they tell sellers it’s a “qualified” disaster, sellers have to deliver without lead time extension. Curious to hear what sellers experienced during this storm, and if it was the same for every place where the storm affected delivery times.
