If you thought a product had wasteful packaging...

Take a look at this

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product that went so far out of their way to ensure that they have a big carbon footprint. There’s a bunch of pictures in the reviews of the packaging. This is one of them:

Like, they put the pills in a separate plastic pouch for no logical reason other than to fill up space in a bigger box and to waste some more plastic?

One of the biggest benefits for companies with the less waste eco friendly trend in packaging is it costs less to make the product. Like 20 years ago people would complain if water bottles were flimsy, but nowadays they’ve thinned them out by a lot but everyone accepts it because it creates less waste. Same goes for other products. Like supplements do fine being shipped in just a plastic bottle, so a lot of companies do that. Putting a box around it is just added waste.

Oh ok, this is why.
Their customers are stoopid.

If they packaged the pills in the bottle, Buyers would complain about not receiving their “free bottle”.

Amazon is shipping Prevagen in a manufacturer supplied display box similar to the one shown.

This is a recent change from the bottle alone.

There are placing the box in a bag or a box.

Please don’t tell me you buy this crap…?

It’s worthless. Their own published studies show it can’t break the blood / brain barrier.

Shocking that it’s still on the market at $60 a bottle…

True snake oil and this is coming from a snake oil salesman.

I wouldn’t buy that crap on the packaging alone.

The packaging screams “this is a shoddy ■■■ product so we need to make the packaging look like it’s worthwhile”

Placebo effect can be very valuable.

This THREAD just broke the blood-brain barrier! My head hurts!

How is your snake oil packaged? and is it freshly squeezed?

As for the producer of our snake oil - The FDA stopped by yesterday for an unannounced inspection / facility review.

0 - ZERO observations. That’s 3 out of the last 4. Pretty unheard of.
