We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance standards for seller-fulfilled orders.
Beginning June 26, you will be responsible for carrier delays on past and future orders, in addition to the current performance factors. Please note that you will not be held accountable for weather-related delays.
The primary reason for this change is to ensure we provide the best service possible to your customers. To offer more flexibility as you work to maintain this high standard, we are updating the required OTD standard from >95% to >90%.
To ensure that your OTD rate stays at an acceptable level, we recommend taking the following actions to help improve delivery reliability and minimize delays:
- Regularly review your performance standards and carrier performance metrics.
- Work closely with your shipping partners to address delays or issues.
- Evaluate alternative carrier options if you notice recurring problems with specific partners.
In addition, Walmart shipping programs help prevent your OTD rate from being impacted by carrier delays outside of your control. Try using:

The part about this that bothers me most is making the metrics damage retroactive. At least they offer protections for using their shipping (SWW), similar to Amazon’s Buy Shipping.
