Is there a Low Inventory Report?

or do we need to crawl through every listing in the FBA dashboard?

The fee starts in 3 days and I may want to remove some SKUs from FBA forever.

Hopefully an FBA expert will have good news and a link for you soon :crossed_fingers:

For now I went to the inventory dashboard page and did a search [Ctrl f] for the phrase Low Stock.

From your FBA Inventory page, you can filter for inventory level to see only the low stock items. In the upper right, there is a download report button also.

I believe if the item’s “Historical days of supply” number is above 28, you won’t be charged the Low Inventory fee.

I’d just have a look over FBA inventory list to see if there is anything showing below 28 in the “Historical days of supply” column to see which item are goin to be charged the fee.

If you have a lot of FBA items, set the inventory Level filter to Low stock will cut down it a bid. Thanks to @Rino for mentioning this filter, I never noticed it before.

As far as reports, the “FBA Inventory” report located within the “Fulfillment Reports” section contains this info

Yes, that’s true; as of now (29Mar`24), the default URL for that Dashboard is here:

https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/reportcentral/MANAGE_INVENTORY_HEALTH/1

That being said, I wouldn’t count on the URL not changing coming the end of Q2 (or perhaps later) due to the looming “… by August, 2024” deprecation of the Inventory product settings Dashboard @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/restockinventory/reports?reportTypeId=2691 in favor the former.

I am always concerned whenever Amazon mentions adding ‘critical metrics’ to a new functionality, as it does on the ‘heads-up’ notification on that latterly-mentioned Dashboard - I’ve seen this movie before, and the historical results of seamless transfer are pretty poor by even the most-generous of standards in situations like these.

Assume all my FBA peeps saw this today from Amazon:

Hello,

As announced in December 2023, the FBA low-inventory-level fee will go into effect on April 1, 2024. This fee applies to products with consistently low levels of inventory relative to their unit sales, which is also referred to as your historical days of supply. Maintaining sufficient inventory levels allows Amazon to effectively distribute products across our fulfillment network, which improves shipping speeds for customers and helps drive more sales for you.

We have heard feedback from a number of sellers that they are still uncertain what the exact effect of this fee will be on their business. To help you better see how this affects your business in real time, we will provide a transition period during the month of April.

We will still charge the FBA low-inventory-level fees incurred between April 1 and April 30, but after the end of the month, we will credit your account for all low-inventory-level fees charged during this period. Our goal is for you to see the end-to-end experience, and understand how this may affect your business so you can further update your inventory management to maintain sufficient inventory levels, drive greater sales, and avoid the fee in the future.

How it will work

Starting April 1, the transition period will begin. You will still be charged the fee on eligible products shipped with historical days of supply below 28 days. Then, we will credit back any charged low-inventory-level fees for units shipped between April 1 and April 30. You can expect to see this credit in May.

Starting May 1, the fee will be charged without a credit back. You can avoid the fee by ensuring that either the long-term historical days of supply (last 90 days) or short-term historical days of supply (last 30 days) are above 28 days (4 weeks). April will give you an opportunity to understand if your current inventory management actions will effectively avoid the fee, or if there are adjustments you can make to avoid this fee so you’re prepared going forward.

For more information on the low-inventory-level fee and what qualifies, go to Low-inventory-level fee.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

They’ve now added a column that tells you if you’ll be charged. Something helpful for once!

That column was called “Historical days of supply”, they just changed the name.

It is definately an improvement to have it stated whether an item is going to be charged the fee or not during the week.

I have several newer items are showing as “Exempted”, that’s good. But still want to keep an eye on the history days of supply number of those items, since I really don’t know the end date for the exemption, and too much trouble to figure out and remember them.

I also have about 2 dozen items that doesn’t show any info in that column, just “- -”. Wonder what that means?

Well, color me confused. Even though my inventory levels are healthy and they don’t recommend sending in more, I’ll be getting charged the fee for these. I should probably look at their minimum recommended level and then double it.

We don’t get charged the fee until there is a sale.

At least during April when you do have sales of those items, Amazon will pay you back for the fee after it’s charged.

Plus you can’t even sort by listing status - i.e. I’m seeing a lot of deleted products that I don’t need to see. Submitted feedback, but not gonna hold my breath.
