I lean toward no …

Unless something is in Seller Central or Performance Notifications I would ignore it.

When I hit the send confirmation link…it just opens up an outgoing message in my email with a pre-filled message. See attached.

I don’t have ses-amazon .com as a valid email for Amazon and I don’t see this coming from Amazon.

It’s funny because I did receive a message from Amazon yesterday or the day before to verify my emergency contact info (which I did and it shows verified).

I also think it’s fake at this point…I don’t see the blue checkmark next to the email address that GMail normally puts next to Amazon messages confirming it’s valid (the one from yesterday asking to verify emergency info had that blue checkmark).

I got that too.

TBF, after my whole debacle, I’ve gotten a few texts along the same lines that I had to do a double take on - not because they weren’t utterly fake (they were blatantly so), but because I went through such a mind fuq - that I thought there was a chance it was possible (since everything is possible with amazon).

Exactly….and the scammers have gotten smarter with not spelling words wrong or using broken English.

In some cases they take a legitimate email and just replace the real links with their scam links, so the email looks as authentic as the real deal.

I miss the old days when a Nigerian prince just needed my banking details to give me millions of dollars.

I received the same email from the same email address a few days ago. I assumed it was fake right out the gate and reported them to [email protected]. Odd thing is they used my Amazon buyer’s account name when greeting me. Very odd and I am kind of wondering how they got that information.

Probably from however they got your email in the first place. I assume they scraped it from something or got it off a list they bought.
Glad you recognized the problem.

Yeah that’s odd because the email I got doesn’t have my seller name….

Hate to unearth this, but I just now got one. Stay vigilant, everyone!
