It’s funny because I did receive a message from Amazon yesterday or the day before to verify my emergency contact info (which I did and it shows verified).
I also think it’s fake at this point…I don’t see the blue checkmark next to the email address that GMail normally puts next to Amazon messages confirming it’s valid (the one from yesterday asking to verify emergency info had that blue checkmark).
TBF, after my whole debacle, I’ve gotten a few texts along the same lines that I had to do a double take on - not because they weren’t utterly fake (they were blatantly so), but because I went through such a mind fuq - that I thought there was a chance it was possible (since everything is possible with amazon).
I received the same email from the same email address a few days ago. I assumed it was fake right out the gate and reported them to [email protected]. Odd thing is they used my Amazon buyer’s account name when greeting me. Very odd and I am kind of wondering how they got that information.
Probably from however they got your email in the first place. I assume they scraped it from something or got it off a list they bought.
