Is this the way to offer multipacks-"ish" now - never seen it used like this before.

See item link

I see under “other sellers” [New (11) from ][$7.83 & FREE Shipping]

So I was wondering who is @ $7.83?

It’s a seller that only offering it with minimum qty 3. (So it’s not really $7.83)

When you add to cart it shows:
Cart Subtotal: $7.83 - But upon checkout it then warns you you need to bump up to 3.
I can see some buyers getting confused, but it is an interesting thought that I never considered.

This has been around for awhile. I forget how this is done but I don’t think everyone can do it.

@Dogtamer / @oneida_books - I think one of you wrote something up about this either here or on the OSFE???

I’m wondering if the ‘minimum quantity’ is only available if you have a ‘business buyers’ option for the ASIN.

I don’t see it on my templates.

The published policy on utilizing MOQ is the SHC’s Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) [link]; AFAIK, the capability is still offered only on an invitation basis, to members of the Amazon Business Seller Program (link, overview) - as it has been ever since the functionality was first rolled out on a trial basis in 2021.

I recall our friend @papy posting about this back in the OSFE days, and @ least one of those threads is still being supported in the NSFE - but I’m reluctant to post it publicly because I know she spent a good deal of time trying to delete her posts after we were notified we’d be doxxed by the advent of the Screeching Harpy’s Abomination…

Thank You! :+1:

You are most welcome, my friend!

I do strive to keep up with the ever-evolving changes which are part & parcel of Selling on Amazon, and questions like our friend @Sundance has posed here give me a leg-up on ensuring whether or not that this and that published policy has morphed since I last archived it (yet ANOTHER reason why the SAS is the BEST Seller Forums Experience, methinks).

That being said, it sometimes takes hours (or even days) for the complete thought process to work its way to the forefront of my wooden noggin, prompting in turn a realization that I might’ve left out a crucial detail in making this or that post - and I now realize that I’ve yet again made such an omission in my earlier post:

I neglected to mention that I was writing about the ‘invitation-only’ status existing in the Americas Regional Marketplace (recently-renamed from the years-extant nomenclature “North America”) - and failed to mention the abundance of evidence indicating that, typically, no such restriction applies to either the Europe Regional Marketplace itself, or to sellers recognized by Amazon’s automated mechanisms as being domiciled there who only create Offer-Listings upon Amazon Global Catalog Listings in one or another of the other Regional Marketplaces.

I think it shouldn’t dox me because I never onboarded to NSFE, right?

Yes, that should be correct; I simply wan’t sure how you felt about linking one of your OSFE posts which still includes your Forum Handle and avatar from those days…

I can’t believe this is allowed. It’s confusing and it’s a bad buyer experience especially since it’s seller specific. Any seller who does this deserves negative feedback for doing this.

To be clear, a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is not a multipack but refers to individual items ordered. It is only available for certain Sellers in the B2B, and only in place for Business Buyers on SKUs designated by those Sellers.

It means that for a Buyer to realize the business discount savings, they must purchase a minimum quantity.

This is quite common throughout retail, both online and in-person, for business/bulk discounts. Amazon did not invent this and is far from the only platform that gives certain 3Ps this option.

Oh those offers only show up for business customers? That’s reasonable then.

Well…they should. For Buyers using their Business account.

We can’t rule out possible glitches, however.

I’m onboard with the belief (have been since back on the OSFE) that this is for and only seen by Business Buyer Accounts. @Sundance, do you have a Business Buyer Account?

NOTE: My standard buyer account doesn’t see it, assuming it’s still there…

No, we don’t have a business account.
Is anyone else seeing that (Min 3 or just me)?

As of right now I see you as the lowest offer ($11.88)

I don’t see the seller OTCRx4u at all.

Yeah, He’s gone… for now.

I just logged in on my seldom used business account and you are the lowest and the seller shown at the start is nowhere to be seen.

It looks like you can raise your price by about $1.25 and STILL be the lowest cost provider.

A price increase can help offset Amazon stupidity the next time they screw with something!

A price increase might mean losing the buy box, at least in some regions. For example, what I’m seeing is this:

If the price difference was say, 50 cents instead of 2 bucks, I’d likely get the Sept 20 offer in the buy box
