I’m about to sign off the computer, and right before I step away I get an email from Amazon for “Notification of Restricted Products Removal”.
So now I’m going to stay up an hour and edit the rest of my listings for one word that I suspect is triggering the bots to think my products are illegal. Hopefully I will edit them before the drunk bots find them.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop drinking caffeine.
With all of Amazon’s massive AI / computing technology, they can’t even give their “valued selling partners” the courtesy of sending this BS during normal business hours for the area where the account is located.
The same selling partners that line Amazon’s pockets.
This is for a novelty license plate. I found the word “reflective” in my description (describing the white reflective background), so I thought that was triggering the bots to think this was a plate cover, spray, or frame meant to obscure the license plate, which Amazon deems illegal in their market place.
Amazon responded to my appeal saying I need to upload more pictures, apparently it wasn’t anything in my description. But I’m glad I stayed up to 3:30am on my hunch. Seller Support is so lame, I’m probably right and they are usually wrong.
I noticed that too, that the notifications come in around midnight. I had one wake me up. I don’t fight it anymore. I just to to my inventory the next day and remove the book, and list it on the other site.
I know the feeling. Do what you need to do and I’m sure you’ll get it resolved soon - don’t let it startle you more than needed (says the guy who can’t help feeling a knot in his stomach every single time he gets a Performance notification until he solves the issue).
I added 4 new product images late last night, and submitted a reply on the case that I had uploaded the additional pictures as requested. I just received an email that they will reinstate the ASIN, and now show the ASIN is in fact reinstated.
