Not bad for the basics, but I still think they missed a few steps (note that there are 2 sections to the article, the second has the Amazon account steps).
LOL at “arbitrage” as a sustainable Amazon business model for new accounts in 2024, though.

They make it sound so easy, and as you said, they don’t seem to realize RA is dead, and sourcing on Alibaba is unreliable, at best.
RA will never be dead unless everything becomes fully gated.
It’s easy, doesn’t require a lot of money, expertise, or work, and you can do it until you have a problem that requires invoices.
If you have no viable business model it’s actually not a bad idea since the biggest downside of getting suspended for doing RA is you can’t sell anymore. Always be someone new willing to take the spot of the ones who get suspended on a daily basis.
So…basically as soon as you list/ship to FBA? Not easy, zero sales, money immediately lost.
There’s no money in it, and it’s an immediate risk to your current brand new Amazon account and any future selling on Amazon.
Somewhat OT, but my next door neighbor is an attorney at Estee Lauder. I think she will have a job for life chasing down IP violations of the brand’s trademarks.
Depends on the brands that people choose to do. If they choose the wrong ones then yes they get nailed right away. It’s definitely a minefield.
