Just had a USPS package returned to me after A YEAR AND HALF!

I mean, wow. I’ve had unclaimed packages/bad addresses/no recipient things come back to me (despite using Amazon Buy Shipping, haha yeah I know) and sometimes its a couple weeks, even or month or two. But an entire year and half!? Where in the world was this sitting for so long? I mailed it in February of 2025.

The funny thing is, I used Amazon Buy Shipping, so they filed a claim and Amazon funded the reimbursement, so this is basically a free item back to me to sell again, but I am just dumbfounded that it took 18 months. Tracking no longer works so I can’t look up what it did or where, but just crazy.

Thought I’d share. This was returned to me today, 8-10-26.

I once had a package returned to me about a year after I had mailed it to Australia. That was quite a few years ago.

The Postal Service calls it “The Dead Letter Office.”

It’s my understanding that an employee can’t be appointed Supervisor of this or that one of the many nationwide locations bearing that designation unless they be named Lazarus.

Modern-day Lazuruses seem to lay down more on the job than was apparently true in an earlier time…

Have you checked that QR code on the return label for any additional info?
