Another story, related but different.
I worked in a wine store for many years. Had a customer come in to purchase wine for a wedding. Needed 10 cases.
I don’t want to fat shame, but customer was probably 350+ lbs; she brought 3 family members with her just as big.
So I had to figure out how to squeeze 10 cases of wine (which weigh about 37lb each) into a HONDA CIVIC that already had over 1000lbs of passengers!
I have no idea if they made it home alright. The car was riding really low when the left (with two of them holding wine in their laps). Amazing how people don’t consider where they will put what they buy when they go shopping.
We are ALL equipped with a thinking cap @ birth.
We are not all equipped by our sojourn upon this mortal coil to wear it & wield its advantages - much less proudly - in Our Modern World, for various reasons.
There would seem to be but a singularly-defensible redoubt for this increasingly-troubling cultural evolution, in my book:
#TeachYourChildrenTruth
I’ve lived my entire life waiting for the day when I will be able to control the thermostat in my home.
Still waiting.
I looked when I was out for my walk; I didn’t see any birds, owls or otherwise. Certainly no Superb Owls.
Oh well. Maybe next year.
