Thanks. I guess I am too old for this to amuse me.

On this site, we are clearly of different generations. I hope we can all continue to work together to make selling on Amazon work for all of us.

For many years, the DH and I enjoyed 15th row two on the aisle keyboard side seats at almost every concert at the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center, courtesy of family members. It was wonderful, and we miss it to this day.

The song is from the early 70’s, I’m not sure what that says about your age, or mine.
What I do know is that I have always thought this was a terrible song.

Strange thing–a friend who is well versed in music mentioned she had done well in a name that song contest on a CA to HI cruise ship. She had spent years as a DJ on ships, and on land.

I easily won a contest long ago at a Club Med. Play me
a few notes of a Broadway tune…

This song (1972) and Working for the Weekend (1981) are just two of the worst songs ever.

It may not have been a great song, but IMO it was better than anything else Gerry Rafferty did (or at least, anything I heard that I knew was him).

Aw, I love Right Down the Line. And that’s it

I might know that one if I heard it, but don’t recognize the title.

I’ll add that I used to bartend in places where having a good selection of music could make a big difference in the tips. I was known for putting together some great mix tapes, with a really wide range.

Never had Stealer’s Wheel on any of them.

Every single time that I sit at a blackjack table! As soon as some idiot splits their 10’s I just mutter ‘stuck in the middle with you’ and most of the time the dealers grin, smile, smirk and the idiot has no clue as to what is going on.

I HATE people that don’t have a freaking clue about basic strategy. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth::face_with_symbols_on_mouth::face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

I guess I’m in the minority. I liked that song — catchy rhythm and fun lyrics.

In the early 70’s, I took two dance aerobics/Jazzersize classes each week. This song was on the playlist. When I hear the song, muscle memory sets in and I begin to tap tap tap one two three four…

Getting older followed by prostate surgery means that pit stops are more frequent. WHY do so many states have waysides more than an hour (or more) apart???

Boy howdee!

I am driving tomorrow to see my mother (94) and brother and sister. I know every rest stop on the way. About a seven hour drive. There’s one crucial one, which when closed as it was once, means I just won’t make it.

So, hunt up a little traveled side road where there’s enough growth to hide me. Mostly I like being female. But not right then.

And the stretch just before I arrive at my sister’s house is a bad one – no hugs until I go to the bathroom!

Not to make you paranoid or anything, but you do realize that there are satellites everywhere that are continually imaging and mapping, correct?

And what do you think those folks on the Space Station are doing with all their spare time? Knitting doilies?
