Apparently posted to the NSFE a few short hours back, 072424/24Jul24/July 24th, 2024 (i.e., no ‘recently-moderated tag’ that I can see, publicly - or any other evidence to the contrary via the multiple vertical-tracing tools in me ol’ kit bag - ‘bolded’ emphasis to the actual body of Josh’s initial post mine):
I realize that there may well be members of our Seller Community who remain perched 'pon the fence, in regards to whether or not I myself am actually a human, but throw the dog a bone.
At least I pay enough attention to know what time it is, globally; I do recall some confusion on that score when crossing (and/or re-crossing) the International Date Line in various ships and aircraft in earlier years of my multiple careers - but 'tis not often that I’ve seen a global corporate conglomerate promulgate a two-day misstep in messaging slipping through the cracks (it’s currently Wednesday, NOT Monday, Josh).
Ok, so that is a song, if you need a movie, Deliverance. Think the “Squeal like a pig segment.”
Now don’t get me wrong, 12+ years ago, we had a beat them or join them moment.
We were already a Multi-Channel company, so we joined them. I would still do it again.
@papythis does not exactly fit the fun space that the traditional “Lighten Up” thread, a child of the OSFE, had been feel free to move this conversation.
Become a bookseller. Then you can shut out important on-screen dialogue and action in order to suss out the titles of the books on the shelf behind the actors.
Yep. Saw a show recently (Mrs. Maisel??) that had Durant’s “Story of Civilization” series in the background. Fairly easy to pick up on.
Who knows; might even be the set that I sold a few years ago… (I sold a LOtR set to the propmaster for “Young Sheldon” years back, but they used a different set in the show).
At least the series had been sold and not stolen! Can you imagine getting busted for theft after someone posted a picture of your walls and you were dumb enough to display your stolen painting?
OH WAIT – kids are making that mistake every day and the cops roll up pretty fat these days!
