Listing Magically Reactivated after being closed

Well this is just great…

On Sept 15th, for my smaller account that’s going out of business, I closed the 2 remaining listings, allowing 115 days (15 day buffer) to close the business / account down by 12/31/24. Created removal orders (disposal orders) to clear the remaining inventory.

Those removal orders are going painfully slow as expected. No big deal, got time for it to complete.

Today, at 9:55AM, someone (not me), reactivated the listing and we somehow got 6 sales in the meantime for inventory that was slated to be destroyed.

Now we have had sales within the 90 day no-fly-zone in order to close an account by the end of the year.

The question I have is - is there a way to find out who reactivated the listing? Wasn’t me and I specifically changed the account password to something so complicated that Invidia AI couldn’t figure it out on the day I closed the listings.

Opening a ticket will most certainly cause more trouble than it’s worth, although I wouldn’t mind if Amazon closed the account at this point by accident but I wouldn’t be so lucky

Amazon has been known to reactivate closed listings. On very rare occasions, even deleted listings have been resurrected. Not for naught do forum vets give this sort of advice:

It is entirely possible that no person activated your closed listing.

I’d like to delete them, and that’s the plan, but Amazon is taking their sweet time disposing of the remaining inventory.

Can’t delete a listing with inventory.
