UPS just delivered a medium/large box. I can’t think of what I ordered. Open the box and there are 100 cloth tote bags with MakerPlace logo on them. No note or packing slip. I am baffled! The return address is Michaels in Texas. @MakerPlace is this some kind of marketing thing you are aware of? I don’t know what I’m going to do with them, maybe donate to the library?
Hi and thank you for tagging me.
This is a mystery to me. Can you please reach out to support at [email protected] ?
I sent them the context and they’ll be expecting you.
Have a great weekend,
Dave
Maybe send one with each order as promo for your customers? …
Some customers like those little freebies …
That’s a good idea, but I’m not sure they will fit in my normal packaging an will probably cost a bit more to ship. But that’s likely what I’ll do.
Unless this was a mistake and Michael’s wants them shipped back. I’ll wait to hear back from seller support.
Are you signed up to do any in store events? Maybe they are to be given to customers??? That’s the only thing I can think of!
I have been invited to sell in-store but I have not signed up.
Just got this from someone at MP: “Happy Friday! You should be receiving a box from Michaels in the next day or two with MakerPlace-branded tote bags. Feel free to include them in your MakerPlace order shipments, use them for trips to the farmers market, give them to friends, or if you really don’t want them, let me know and I’ll send you a return label.”
Mystery solved.
While I think that is interesting, I am wondering if it’s getting sent to everyone? Or what theory do you have that you would be chosen? Do you do a high amount of sales??
They really should have had some sort of interest form to gauge interest. I know lots of sellers only sell little items and wouldn’t want to spend the extra shipping to give out a bag.
I think it would be good to give them to sellers doing the in store events.
I really don’t know why they sent me the box. Based on an email I got before Christmas, they do consider me a “top seller” so that might have something to do with it. Or maybe it has something to do with me using my affiliate link to bring people in? Or maybe it’s just random. Folded strategically, the totes fit inside my regular packaging and won’t cost extra postage.
