They’ve added product attributes. This is nice - I think updating/adding listings is going to be a full-time job. If nothing else, it shows they’re invested which is good!
These are the ones for art - sounds like for jewelry they have stone, etc.

It is indeed, and hopefully these will help with product searches, too.
Definitely interested to see attributes from other categories.
I wonder if we will be able to update listings that have sold. Can’t add variations on listings with prior sales right now.
Looks like yes, we can edit sold items for those new attributes. But still can’t add variant for items that have sold.
I noticed weeks ago in search that there were filters like for color and I was wondering how in the world that worked if we didn’t have a field to enter the color in the backend.–I even went and checked to make sure I didn’t miss listing something. Maybe some sellers were in beta at that time??
Hopefully this will help with search!
I am creating a listing with one variation. The customer choice will be Gold or Silver color. Where do I create this variation?
Marilyn
I found the variations. Thanks.
Variations are tucked in with Inventory and Pricing. Delete your initial pricing and inventory quantity when it first comes up after the description and save that for the variations. Create your variations on the Inventory and Pricing page, then check the boxes for different quantities or different prices for each. It turns into a chart like Etsy uses where each variation has a separate price and quantity. You’ll need to click on the plus signs to add your variation details. Hope this makes sense.

Yes–I was referring to the new attribute fields (Primary Color, Materials, Gemstone, etc.). I wonder if some sellers had early access to these fields prior to the rollout yesterday, based on filter choices I was seeing in search results in February.
It’s good to see Michaels investing in improvements and in ads!
