Previously, users could access Inspire on the Amazon mobile app via a light-bulb-shaped icon at the bottom of the screen. The icon is no longer visible on the app. Amazon Live, the company’s streaming and live shopping-focused section of its marketplace, appears to still be active, suggesting Amazon is not stepping away from social shopping entirely.
Who comes up with these outdated names like Rufus for Amazon and Bixby for Android??

I suspect that the demographics of the important Prime customer and the demographics of the Tik Tok user differ enough that Inspire did not.
As for Rufus, it is hard to believe it can make any sales unless the buyers are clueless. A great promotion for avoiding AI.
An embrace of nostalgia has been a key marketing point highlighted by the big players in the Advertising Consultant Industry ever since the waning years of the last century (and even before).
Madison Avenue-players (among others) continue to rake in profit from Global Conglomerates (among others) by creating ad campaigns for them based mainly on leveraging the reality that folks who fondly remember this or that catch-phrase, or this and that CTA (“Call To Action”), or this or that once more-popular-than-now song’s lyrics (and/or melody and/or tune/tone) have been demonstrated, via demographically-segregated analysis, to have been influenced by such campaigns to the point of statistical significance to the advertisers’ bottom line.
I recognize the nostalgia aspect but unfortunately, I have no warm, nostalgic memories related to anyone or anything named Rufus. Rufus is a doofus name and I would never trust a doofus to help me find anything.

Which is why the myriad of new drugs all have weird names.
Easier to get through USPTO when there is no way any product could be “confused” with another brand.
Same thing with the non-US based companies that flooded USPTO in the last few years to have a brand on Amazon. Yes it is “gibberish” but that means it is less likely to be taken already.
