🔥 New CATEGORY Alert

Sure thing! I’ll use your profile as an example, @TCLynx (because mine is weird as staff), to whip up a little general Trust Level/Badge explainer. (Please ignore what you personally already know!)

On Discourse, Trust Levels are represented by Badges (scroll to last section at link) that correspond to a “status”.

Trust Level badges display on profiles and in members’ individual Badge lists (accessible by clicking the Badge icon). SAS logged-in users can see any other users’ badges.

When you click on the Trust Level badge links, they translate the “status” (e.g., Member) to the number levels.

NOTE: Trust Levels can change over time, including reversing, depending on participation and any issues.

When you see a green checkmark here…

…it means that you do have that Badge.

This big empty means that you do not:

OTHER NOTES:

  • SAS has a few more badges than OSFE did.
  • When you scroll through Badges, you can see how many of that Badge have been awarded. You can also click the title for more information about how the badge is awarded or what it can “do”.

And here’s a view from my own Badges list, with annotations:

Hope that all helps a bit #SellersAskSellers

Apologies for my particularly erratic lines and circles on the images today! Having more-than-usual muscle weakness.
