Hello Everyone
Please, I want to ask, how accurate is the estimated transaction release date for the Delivery Date Policy Payment, because I have a payment that is supposed to release today, being 9th, but I’m not seeing it being released yet, although for my Invoiced Order dates for my Business Customers are released when they are supposed to, this DDP Standard Orders date is not being accurate.
So, for those who started receiving their payment with the estimated release date on the table for the new DD +7, was it released on that day or a day after?
I’m confused here
When the order is shipped, the Estimated Release Date for a Deferred Transaction will be the Estimated Deliver by Date +7.
When the order is delivered (if the carrier is reporting into Amazon), the Estimated Release Date for a Deferred Transaction will be the Deliver Date +7.
What we have seen is … the actual Release Date has been the day after what is shown as the Estimated Release Date on Amazon.
Example
Order Estimated Deliver by Date 6/10 = Estimated Release Date 6/17
If the order was not delivered by the Estimated Deliver by Date 6/10, the Release Date would be 6/18.
Order Delivered Date 6/8 = Estimated Release Date 6/15
For the Order Delivered Date 6/8, the actual Release Date would be 6/16.
We would say for about 97% of the orders that the Release Date is the day after what Amazon shows as the Estimated Release Date. We have had very few that have actually been on the Estimated Release Date that Amazon is showing.
We would also note that Amazon has said that it would pay Estimated Deliver By Date +7 on orders that had followed policy and shipped on time but the carrier has either not delivered on time or failed to report delivery to Amazon. We had one late order that fell into this payout; however, it was not paid as Estimated Deliver by Date +7 but was paid as Delivered Date +7 (so Amazon held the payment until it was delivered). We pointed this out on NSFE and mod KJ_Amazon said he/she had given the info to the team to look into.
When we calculate our release dates, we have been using DD+8 to get the date the funds are released. This has been pretty consistent.
I am thinking this too, that means it will be tomorrow then
For me when the fund was actually released on the Estimated release day, it almost always happened very late in the evening, so I don’t really notice it until the next day.
We have seen them at anytime during the day.
We had five due today. Two came in just before midnight yesterday. One came in this morning and then two more followed this afternoon.
So sometimes it doesn’t get released on that estimated day ?
Have you experienced one not being released on that estimated date and get released the next day ?
97% of the time this is what happens.
Delivery Date +7 means it has to clear seven days after the delivery therefore the payment comes the day after (on the 8th day after delivery). We think of it as DD+7+1 with the +1 being the release date.
Mine just processed just now, that means it is DD + 8 not DD + 7.
