Atualização da página Política de retenção de fundos de 4 de outubro de 2024 (Funds Retention Policy page update from October 4, 2024)

Hello,

Starting October 4, 2024, we will update the Funds Retention Policy to complement recent improvements to overall transparency regarding funds retention. Key changes include:

  • Renamed Funds Retention Policy to “Funds Payment Eligibility Policy.”

  • Our payout eligibility policy is intended to protect customers and sellers from abuse.

  • When we deactivate an account, we hold funds to settle pending transactions or damages, including product returns or refunds, customer A-to-Z claims, inventory removal costs, and outstanding fees.

  • You can now appeal funds after 60 days of the measure being applied to your account, as we have reduced the appeal period for requesting payment of funds from 90 days to 60 days after application.

  • We will release your funds after we confirm your identity and assess your account for deceptive, fraudulent, or other illegal activity.

  • During this process, we may ask you to provide additional information or documentation about your identity, financial instruments, or supply chain. This additional information is critical to our anti-fraud controls. Additionally, we may validate any information you provide with third-party services or government agencies.

  • We’ve included a link to the Funds Payment Eligibility Policy on the Program Policies page.

If you have any questions, please contact Sales Partner Support.

We also received this unwelcome notification (also in Portuguese) this afternoon.

I badly wanted to trash it, but the furor passed…

What has effectively changed? I do see the reduction in appeal times from 90 to 60. But this is just in case of an ip complaint? I did not read the updated policy. As for my saga, it is continuing according to the scheduled timeline. Hopefully, thing will be rectified by said time. No other input at the moment.

Well … when it comes to Brazil and what could go wrong, for some reason you just pop up in our mind as a … “oh yea … everything could go wrong”.

Because of you … do you know how much courage it took to simply click the translate button to find out what it said?

I hear you. It shouldn’t be that hard and amazon should be doing far more for their “partners.”

Got it as well. Thought it was fake because where I come from, it’s Brazil.

I learned something new - Brasil…

I got it from both BR and a similar one from Amazon Services Europe.

I think it’s safe to say we all got it. Unusual, but nothing Earth shattering the way it looks.

The third of today’s (092424) News Headlines, “Update to the Fund Withholding Policy page” (link, ‘ref’ version) specifies. in the 1st ¶, that recent changes were made to Section 2 of the ASBSA (“Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement”) [link]; it would appear that the Editorial Team has not yet gotten around to actually updating this - I just compared today’s version to the last one I archived on 051124, and both currently read the same:

I’ll be revisiting the ASBSA page on 10October2024 to see if the change is actually reflected - as well as the “Changes to program policies” (link) page - which has also yet to be updated.

It’ll also be interesting to note whether or not the “Changes to the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement” (link) - which has only been intermittently updated in recent years - reflects these changes…
